  • Q: What do I do if I have a boiler breakdown?

    A: Give us a call! Our office is staffed Monday-Friday between 8am and 5pm. We usually aim to get to you within 24 hours for boiler emergencies. Let us know if any error codes are appearing on your boiler. This may save time & speed up your repairs.

    Q: My boiler is old, can you fix it?

    A: We will always do our best to repair any boiler as long as it is safe to do so and the parts are still available. We would never put your safety at risk repairing a boiler that is past its useful life.

    Q: How long will I need to wait for spare parts to come in?

    A: Usually if parts are not in stock they are next day delivery. If parts are required we always aim to carry out repairs as quickly as possible.

    Q: How long are repairs guaranteed for?

    A: All our work is guaranteed for 12 Months. Guarantee on spares may vary with each manufacturer.

    Q: Do I need to be in when you carry out the work?

    A: No you don't, we are happy to carry out any work while you are out!

  • Q: Will I need to move out whilst the work is done?

    A: No, we are experienced in working in our clients homes, the vast majority of jobs can be completed with the minimum impact on your home and life. Whenever we carry out any new installation we always ensure you are inconvenienced as little as possible. we leave your water, heating and hot water available for as long as possible. Your house is your home, not our workshop. We understand that life must go on however big the job so we do everything in our power to minimise the impact of our work on your day to day living.

    Q: Will I need to move my furniture?

    A: No, our engineers will move any furniture and put it back when finished.

    Q: How many engineers will you send?

    A: That depends on the size of the job but usually it is 2 people for a large job (no one wants lots of workmen trampling through their house!). If you require more engineers for a quicker turnaround, this can be arranged at your discursion.

    Q: Will I need to take up carpets?

    A: No, you don’t need to do anything. Corvée will take up any carpets and relay them for you.

    Q: Do you make good?

    A: Yes, we brick up holes, plaster etc. Details on making good will be outlined in the quote. If you need a specialist such as a tiler or an electrician, we can source one for your,. Every person we use or recommend will be a bonafide/experienced person that we have used before and can trust completely. We minimise damage to your property by using the most advanced equipment available.

  • Q: How often should I get my gas appliances serviced?

    A: Most gas appliances need a service once a year in order to maintain both efficiency and safety. Even if you have a brand new appliance, it will need to be serviced every year. Servicing is even more important if it is a condensing boiler because they have 'condensate traps' that need cleaning out once a year.

    Q: Will you maintain my new system?

    A: Yes we are able to maintain any system we install and are happy to maintain any existing system!

    Q: I already have a heating system supplied by another company, will you look after it?

    A: Yes we will. However, we need to check its safe and correctly installed before we can offer any maintenance package.

    Q: What’s involved in a service?

    A: Appliance cleaning- Your appliance will be stripped down and thoroughly cleaned by our gas operative. This ensures that connections are secure, blockages are removed and flames burn clean.

    Gas pressures & emissions- All gas pressures and emissions are tested (including your gas meter) to ensure that your appliances are running clean and safely reducing the risks in your home. We also carry out a tightness test to check for gas leaks as standard procedure.

    Fault finding- As the boiler is stripped down our gas operative will do a visual and manual check to ensure that your appliance is operating as it should. Any obvious faults/defects are diagnosed and small repairs are carried out on the day or quoted to you if it is a larger repair.

  • Q: If I have a bad leak, how quickly can you come out?

    A: We will always get to you as quickly as possible. We understand the urgency of breakdown jobs, especially those with leaks! On the rare occasion that we cant get to you within a few hours, we will advise you on what to do whilst you are waiting for an engineer.

    Q: Can you repair old appliances?

    A: Yes we can! We will always try and repair something before replacing it.

    Q: Is there a callout charge for emergency jobs?

    A: No we only charge for the time were with you! Whether its an emergency appointment or a regular booking we have no callout fee.

    Q: How long will I have to wait for an appliance to be replaced?

    A: We understand that you don’t want to be without, we always try to carry out replacements the next day providing the parts are available.

  • Q: Will you fit my own supplied parts/appliances/suite?

    A: Yes we will! We are happy to install your own supplied items.

    Q: Do you charge for quotations?

    A: No all installation quotations are free of charge & are no obligation

    Q: Can you supply everything?

    A: Yes we can! Feel free to ask for a brochure to be brought along on our initial visit so you can choose your items from our wide range of suppliers.

    Q: Do I have to be in when you carry out the works?

    A: No you don’t. We understand that even though we try to keep disruption down to a minimum, it can make day to day life difficult. We are happy to carry out works whilst you are away.

  • Q: Are your engineers qualified for commercial gas work?

    A: Yes we have a gas safe engineer fully qualified to carry out commercial gas works.

    Q: Do we need to provide access equipment?

    A: No we are happy to provide our own access equipment if there isn’t any available.

    Q: Do you do commercial plumbing works?

    A: Yes, our engineers are fully qualified to carry out all commercial plumbing works.

    Q: Are you happy to take on installation projects?

    A: Yes we are. All projects taken on are managed through to completion by a member of our team.

    Q: Will you call my tenant directly?

    A: Yes we will. We understand that it can be difficult to arrange appointments, so we will contact your tenants directly to arrange a time convenient for them.

    Q: Will you pick up a key to carry out work if my property is empty?

    A: Yes we will!

    Q: Do you send reminders for servicing?

    A: Yes, you will receive a gas safety reminder approximately 4 weeks before its next due. This gives us time to arrange a convenient date with your tenants before the gas certificate expires.
